Our roots go back to the early 20th century.

It all began in 1913 with the founding of the "Hermann Wittler Fittings Factory and Metal Foundry" in Bielefeld. At that time, the company initially focused on heating and control technology.

In 1966, the Wittler family founded a subsidiary in the Spradow district of Bünde in East Westphalia, "Apparatebau Spradow GmbH & Co. KG". The company manufactured special-purpose machine systems, including bar feeders and feeding and processing machines for machining technology.

Our core business today – the high-quality production of measuring systems for hydraulics – has been operating since the early 1980s.

In 1995 the company moved to its new premises in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock and in 2002 the positive development of the company finally led to the founding of today's "Spradow GmbH & Co. KG".

In June 2019, Spradow GmbH & Co. KG was acquired by Dipl.-Ing. Frank Windel as the sole managing partner. Together with his sons Tim and Lucas, he has thus secured the future of the company as a customer- and quality-oriented, medium-sized enterprise in East Westphalia-Lippe.
